How to be good animator?

If you want to be excelent 3D animator, you need to know how to build body. It's mean = be rigger as well. If you want to be rigger artist, you need to know everything about the body and be animator as well as doctor of body. :] No! It's not funny. Becouse when are you doing a some type of 3D animation, it will be harder for you then somebody, who know rigging and real motion and real life as well. Method 3D animation as Pixars is long story and for you... is good to start study of real things like first.

Why rigging?

Why I study online course and why rigging?

Last time a lot of people are studing modelling, rendering, lighting... but many people doesn't want to study rigging? Rigging is very hard artist job. You need to know a lot of things, like anatomy, scripting, and program like Maya as well! Is not enough! You need to know how is working animator and modeller as well if you want to be excelent!

Now is question... why me and rigging? I have like a lot of details etc. I would like to work on some big project and make some realistic characters for broadcast.

It's exciting! :]

Class 3

This week I will have finished last hours from course by Jakub Krompolc - senior rigger from Double Negative. - Class 3 is procedural rigging. :] cool... 10 sec for create rig setup! Great! :]


Finished 30 hours - Rigging, skinning, deform, IK,FK, muscles, procedural rigging, python scripting and PyMel.

Next 40 hours lessons is comming soon! I am thinking about facial setup, muscles, quadruped, continue also python scripting.
